If anyone really wants to send us money I’m sure they will find someone or something that needs it more, though good wishes are appreciated.

That advice applies to most people trying to fundraise.
Caveat: some people are successful at using social media for revenue. I make about forty cents a month from Facebook Reels. I know a fellow hiker who makes $300 or so a month from YouTube, TikTok and Reels.
Dixie and Darwin have or had social media as their full time employment. But there are people doing a better job of chronicalling their hiking and who need the money more than I do.
When making a comment: covenants and contract
In additiion, by making a comment you agree to:
- Not make a post for advertising.
- If you do submit an advertising or spam post (spam is what the filter politely calls it), you contractually agree to pay a $100,000.00 convenience fee, payable at my postal address, agree to my choice of venue and jurisdiction, agree to binding arbitration using the service and forum I consider most appropriate whether or not the post actually goes live. You also agree to my determination of what constitutes spam or advertising posts.
- Agree that by having an agent of any sort submit the post that they have full power to bind the location advertised to these covenants and contracts.
- Agree to transfer any domain linked to in the posts as the initial and preferential method of paying any award and agree to domain register compliance with any such award.
