Then through the Great Divide Basin and into Owens Valley.
My pack weight with food and bear canister, but no water was 22 pounds. Water through this section is good so I just have two bottles and my hydropak.
Our usual rotation is drink one then refill and chemically treat while drinking the other. That has worked well for us when there is a lot of water.
I’m so hopeful, but wary. Weather looks good. Great hiking temperatures forecast. Still water and before fire season but after snow season.
Water levels down for easy crossings. All the bridges repaired.
