Gear: Trying a new shirt

Mountain Hardware Crater Lake

Also decided to compare scales.

Same weight
In ounces

I really liked the fit and the feel of this shirt when I wore one on the PCT until my last one took too much thorn damage.

I find the patterns deal with discoloration and dirt better than the solids.

Happy6 in the green pattern

It once had a blue pattern like the green one that Happy6 is in. I missed the chance to get one before it was discontinued.

Happy6 on the trail

While the Crater Lake now has a half zip and a heavy weight option, I prefer the original weight without a zipper. It comes in many colors and they change them up regularly.

Twin Durstons

From the CDT on this day, years ago. This couple each carried their own tent.

Note. I switched the picture format which lets me load pictures directly to WordPress instead of having to save them and change them to jpegs.

That has made it so much easier to load pictures now.

Too bad it is only sold in Europe and not the US.

Also sold in a two person tent. This is definitely a thru-hiker style tent—one you sleep in, but only for sleeping.

Fully taped seams.

Sil-poly for true waterproof and double layer to manage condensation.

But not bad for a $35 starter tent.
