Mile 2495.6 Sept 3. Mist. More mist. Scattered showers. About 6,300 feet of ascent. ~19-20 miles (19.9).

We

Passed the lightning strike fires. The mist parted and we could see them in the distance. Still very small.

Miles and miles and miles of blueberries.

No symptoms from the shin splints.

Great trail. Hiked it in the mist except for about fifteen minutes.

Had Backpackers Pantry Vegetarian Mushroom Stroganoff for dinner. With freeze dried chicken added. Given the meal was free, it wasn’t bad at all. Better than a Knorr side. I’d eat it again.

For to camp early. The tent is drying out (condensation last night —seems to go with vamping in a meadow.

In a lot of ways it feels like starting a new trail from our time off and then return. Really enjoying it.

Otherwise. Another day without any cell service. The next town is 77 miles from here and has no cell service. Unless I get a random connection I will probably have a lot of these daily blog posts go live all at once. 😄😄

Mist cleared out. Sun came out. We got our tent completely dried out. As we are camped at a high point and well ventilated I’m expecting to not have condensation.

Our two times with condensation were both camping in meadows in Washington (other states meadows were fine). Nights it rained caused no problems.
