Pearisburg

We’ve made the trip from Wood’s Hole to Angel’s Rest.

Even ate fresh blackberries on the vine on the trail.

On the road again …

We had over three hours of delays on Greyhound so we hit our shelter at 10:30 in the rain instead of 7:00.

The shelter was taken over by the cattle train. Three girls, a guy and a dog who had taken over the entire eight person shelter because their dog doesn’t like people and they don’t believe in leashes.

We had planned to tent in the rain (10:30 pm arrival) but they got up late and did not want anyone to use the table to pack gear up. Their dog needed extra space.

Hiking at night in mist and rain was kind of neat though.
