There are a few services that I can recommend for someone who wants to look at good design (limited use of controlled graphics, etc.).
Poppyware for Mac Users. Web page design can be done on any platform or type of computer (that is the entire point of HTML and the World Wide Web -- to allow computer users to look at things regardless of what type of computer they have or what type of computer is on the other side), but the Macintosh environment is a natural for it. Poppyware is a good example of a well designed site and the kind of services provided by a Mac user.
College Hill -- Internet services for Law Firms and other professionals. I've looked at a lot of services. Perhaps too many. College Hill is the only one, so far, of those aiming directly at law firms, that seems to understand that a law firm is not a collection of graphic artists or college kids in need of a good cartoon and some neon colors to give their web page just the right impact and look.
Redstreet Consulting -- A visit to their site and reading through the materials there resulted in major improvements to my site. Recommended for a visit.
