Caveats

I can't stress enough that these are my opinions and guesses, not facts.  I'm an amateur in this area, not a professional. This is my hobby, not my profession or even my passion. By using this site, you accept these limits.

Your use of these pages anticipates and requires that you will rely on your own evaluations, not on my opinions and that you will hold me harmless from any claims or problems, whether founded in my intentional, negligent or other acts and whether brought by yourself or others. You agree to arbitration of any dispute between us at your expense (paid in advance to the arbitration provider) and with my choice of arbitrators and rules of arbitration based on my evaluation of the appropriate rules and forum for the matter should you decide to bring a claim against me based on what I've written here. You waive all conflicts that any arbitration provider of my choice may have and agree that I may insist on arbitration at any stage of any claim without any estoppel applying to any party except you.

You acknowledge that the sword industry is a cottage industry for the most part.  A company that sells swords by Del Tin one week, may very well advertise Del Tins and sell cheap knock off's from India or Bangladesh when the founder sells and someone else takes over.  Bob Engath, one of the the best regarded smiths in the business, died one day. Everyone else will die some day as well, businesses as well as individuals.  Links change all the time.

You understand that I do not have the time to do more than provide a place to begin a long and scholarly research project, nor to update or research the subject matter here beyond a cursory glance.  This site is not sufficient for casual use or for use as a primary source.

The only real certainties are that there are no certainties.  Especially on the web, change is the norm.  I make no warrantees, express or implied, and consent to no jurisdictions other than my own, at my own option and choosing. I like to look at swords -- for anything that requires using a sword or any other weapon, I call a peace officer and advise you to do the same.  The law of deadly force can be surprising and is subject to sudden and unexpected changes and I am not providing you any advice in regards to that law.
