- Excerpts from The Great Essay, also known as "Information and Advice for Persons Interested in Teaching Law" is extremely important. You must read this essay if your goal is to teach law. The excerpts page links to the full essay. Be aware that outside of law schools, law faculty are seen as a bit insular and limited, with quirkier than normal personalities and flaws. They tend to be paid less than business school faculty at a graduate level.
