1992 "Christmas Letter"
Hello!
It has been a happy year. Win started a neighborhood watch group. It has been fun to hold the meetings, socialize and get the neighborhood together. We now know all the parents of the other little girls on the street.
Jessica started first grade and has begun to bring home all "A" report cards. She has an active class with classmates whose parents tend to attend class functions as couples. It is neat. Heather began pre-school three mornings a week and is so excited about it all. She has been finding lots of new friends there. Courtney has begun to toddle and say "Mama" and "Dada."
Win is the head room mother for all the first grade classes at Jefferson Elementary. To steal a quote, it is deja vu all over again except that Win is now the Primary President instead of a counselor. She is also directing the Ward Christmas play which she wrote.
This year we also finished repainting the house. We took out two dying trees and Steve (with an air gun) put in a new fence. Win (with help from Steve and the whole neighborhood) put up a fort for the girls. It is one of the commercial ones -- except it has screws and bolts instead of nails.
The family started wind surfing again at Lake Arrowhead. The girls usually ride on the front and pretend to be "Hawaiian Surfer Princesses" (an idea they got from some of their friends). We made a trip to Florida to see Win's sister Andrea (& for our kids to see all six of the related cousins) and we relandscaped the yard to go with the new fence and concrete work.
While Steve has still not made it to the Florida beaches (after three visits), this time the family went to Disney World on a slow day. Jessica and Heather loved it. Steve has published a couple more professional articles and will have a card in next year's Martindale-Hubbell's. He is really pleased.
It has been a good year. We have had lots of time spent just living and growing and loving our children. God has been good to us. May His love enfold you and His blessing be upon you in the coming year.
With warm regards,
The Marsh Family Steve & Win, Jessica, Heather & Courtney
