The following are topics that I have considered adding to the on-line seminar
materials. I am working on these as time permits and as feedback encourages
me.
1. Miscellaneous finishing moves to normal combinations
> Kanibasami (Scissors)
> Taniotoshi (Valley Drop)
> Uranage (Rear Throw)
> Kouchigake (Minor Inner Hand Hook)
> Sadetsurikamighosi (Sleeve Lift Pull Hip)
> Kataguruma (Shoulder Wheel/Fireman's)
2. Hidden Movement
> Moving without releasing tension
> Moving without tension
3. Unpausing movement (moving through shock)
> When hit (by an atemiwaza technique such as a kick)
> During a collision (including when throwing)
> During impact with the mat (including when being thrown)
4. Atemiwaza
> Elbow strikes
> Knee strikes
> Elbow and knee strikes vs throws
> Atemiwaza throwing stances
> Kicks
> Kicks during and in order to initiate throws
5. Self Defense Applications:
> Sotomakikomi, Koshiguruma, Osotogari (Funakoshi Original) Focus
on techniques that do not depend on a gi or that are part of an atemiwaza
(e.g. Funakoshi Osotogari)
> Throwing through (not to) the surface, Hanemakikomi
> Throwing at an angle, not flat.
> Bouncing through Uke/Kuzushi in landing (avoiding the ground)
> Hadakajume as a breaking technique.
